“The BigD –Large Format Digital Experience features Bigger Screens, Bigger Sound and Bigger, more Luxurious Seats providing the Ultimate Entertainment Experience”, said David Passman, Carmike’s President and CEO. The auditorium will include a wall to wall giant screen measuring 78 feet wide and 35 feet tall, custom luxury seating, the latest in 7.1 surround sound and DIGITAL projection for both 2D and 3D features.
Carmike launched the first Ultimate Entertainment Experience in Columbus, GA at the Carmike 15 in July 2010. Followed by Franklin, TN at the Thoroughbred 20 in November 2010; Canton, Ga at the Riverstone 15 in December 2010; Billings, MT at the Shiloh 14; Savannah, GA at the Wynnsong 11; Tyler, TX at the Carmike 14 in July 2011; Missoula, MT at the Carmike 12 in October 2011; Pottsgrove, PA at the all new Carmike 12; Chattanooga, TN at the Majestic 12; Saint Clairsville, OH at the Mall 11; Bethlehem, GA at the all new Gateway 12; the new Foothills 12 in Maryville, TN; and our newest screen at the Carmike 15 in Apple Valley, MN.
